Montreal, QC – Renold plc, a manufacturer of industrial chains, gears and couplings for industrial power transmission applications, has named Rick Hamilton as president of Montreal-based Renold Canada, a position he previously held from Sept. 2008 until Sept. 2009. The move resulted when the company recently repositioned its senior-level management in order to capitalize on post-recession growth opportunities.
In 2009, Hamilton was appointed president of Renold Americas, Morristown, TN, where he was responsible for all sales operations in the United States, Canada and Latin America.
Under Hamilton’s dual leadership during that time, both the U.S. and Canadian businesses far surpassed sales and profit predictions, said George Graham, managing director of Global Chain Sales for Renold plc. “Rick’s contributions have been exceptional. I sincerely thank him for his U.S. efforts and wish him continued success.”
Mike Pelehach has been named executive vice-president, sales and marketing, for Renold Americas.
Hamilton had previously held positions at Martin Sprocket & Gear Inc. and Emerson Power Transmission Corp. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University, College of Engineering.
Renold Canada and Renold Americas are part of Renold plc, Manchester, England, an international engineering group that produces a wide range of precision-engineered products.
