AssetPoint, an enterprise asset management (EAM) solution provider, announced its TabWare Cloud Computing solution has achieved “100-percent uptime for its customers during the 2010 calendar year,” the company says.

“Designed by maintenance professionals for maintenance professionals,” TabWare is an EAM solution for companies who want full functionality without the expense, resources and time other solutions demand. The TabWare Cloud Computing solution is hosted by AssetPoint in an SAS-70 Type II audited environment, and customers access their data through a secure, password protected internet link. It’s designed to handle all customer locations from a secure database, giving views of their operation at a site, region, division, country and enterprisPEM Plant Engineering & Maintenance – Administratione levels.

Kay Jenkins, AssetPoint’s executive vice-president of research and development, said, “AssetPoint is committed to our customers’ success. Providing 100% uptime for our TabWare Cloud Computing customers is our goal every year, and our customer support team will continue to strive for this perfect level of support every year.”

AssetPoint president and CEO Mike Levine commented, “This once again proves AssetPoint’s commitment to Cloud Computing. We are leading the way in the EAM market with our Software as a Service (SaaS) solution which benefits customers by removing the effort of hosting the EAM on their own servers. AssetPoint has been offering a Cloud Computing solution since 1998, and we have the best support in the industry.”

With the cloud computing solution, companies will not need an IT staff to support the product as there are no servers needed, no database licenses to buy, and no backup/recovery services to perform as AssetPoint handles it all. Performance tuning, software maintenance and upgrades are also performed by AssetPoint’s Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCPs).

“Companies can streamline their maintenance operations to maximize asset performance and control maintenance costs with TabWare,” the company said in a release. “AssetPoint also offers an on-site deployment for companies that want TabWare on their own servers. TabWare is the leading EAM solution for companies who want full functionality without the expense, resources and time other solutions demand.”
