Brussels, Belgium — The Manufacturer Council of the EPTDA (European Power Transmission Distributors Association) is inviting all Manufacturer Member companies to bring along two of their distributor companies, who are not yet a member of the association, to join the EPTDA’s 2011 Annual Convention in Budapest, Hungary, on September 28-30, 2011, on a complimentary basis.
“This initiative signals our firm commitment to take EPTDA membership to new heights,” said Jos Benneker, chair of the EPTDA Manufacturer Council (and sales manager, Europe, David Brown Benzlers).
“The EPTDA is a leading organization that has continued to add value to the power transmission and motion control (PT/MC) industry and its professionals in Europe and beyond. It has helped its members to weather the 2009-2010 economic recession well by maintaining an open dialogue between the two communities, sharing continuously evolving market trends and developments instantly, providing a cost-effective platform for industry leaders to meet and discuss priorities and strategies, and share best practices and experiences,” he said.
David Harrow, the EPTDA’s 2011 president (and managing director of Godiva Bearings, based in the UK) welcomed the dynamic approach and support of the EPTDA Manufacturer Council: “It is a powerful initiative from our manufacturer community, which strongly stands behind the EPTDA’s objectives to remain a premier community for qualified members acting with integrity, honesty and fairness, and we look forward to warmly welcoming new distributors to our fast growing family.”
The EPTDA’s Manufacturer Council meets twice a year at the EPTDA All Committees’ Days and the Annual Convention, to voice the interests of the manufacturer community within this distributors’ organization and find innovative ways of mutual success and growth, and support the EPTDA’s objectives.
“The EPTDA membership consists of nearly 200 member companies from 24 countries, of which 74 are manufacturer members , and we are proud to receive such enormous support from our manufacturer members to further fuel the growth of our association and attract more distributors,” said Hans Hanegreefs, executive vice-president, EPTDA.
“This initiative aims to attract new companies from emerging markets where the EPTDA is under-represented, and also manufacturers and distributors of products and services that are currently missing from our portfolio,” he said.
The EPTDA’s 2011 Annual Convention will be hosted at the Corinthia Hotel in the heart of Budapest.
