Mississauga, ON — KCB Tools, a metalworking tool supplier, will celebrate its 45th anniversary on Sept. 8, 2010. To mark the occasion, new tool promotions (special offers featuring 45% and 65% off), customer appreciation events, complimentary business seminars, and the release of the 2010/2011 master tool catalogue are just a few of the happenings planned for the year.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be celebrating 45 years in the tool business,” says company president Paula Bass. Now working out of the company’s 40,000 sq ft Canadian headquarters in Mississauga, ON, Bass took the reins of the company from her father, KBC founder Karel Bass, in 1993.
Now boasting nine stocking branches throughout the US and Canada, KBC has come a long way from its first 1,000 sq ft location on Eight Mile Road in Detroit in 1965.
Starting out as a catalogue house selling surplus and English tools to the metalworking industry at a discount, the company established its motto early on: ‘We Will Not Be Undersold’. But competitive pricing is only one part of the KBC equation. A dedication to customer service and satisfaction has allowed the business to maintain a long list of regular clients, many of whom have been doing business with the firm for so long that the KBC sales team knows them by voice when they call. As Bass points out, “The KBC 45th Anniversary celebration is as much about our customers as it is about KBC. Our goal is to make sure they know just how much we appreciate their business.”
The company offers a tooling website (www.kbctools.com), machinery website (www.kbctoolsandmachinery.com), and a presence on the popular social networking site Facebook (www.facebook.com/kbctools). It has over 100,000 items in its catalogue.
