EMC prepares for national manufacturing conference and exhibition in Hamilton
Advantage through Excellence: Building the Case for Manufacturing in Canada is a two-and-a-half day event exploring the competitive advantages, opportunities and successes that can be achieved by manufacturers through peer-to-peer networking and sharing of best practices.
Organizers say the event will feature six conference streams, attract more than 500 manufacturing delegates, who can choose from more than 50 workshops, hear five keynote speakers go on local plant tours and take part in networking events.
The sessions will cover topics such as workplace health and safety, operations excellence, lean manufacturing, food and beverage manufacturing, leadership and human capital, sustainable manufacturing and more.
In his standing-room only keynote address, Rick Mercer will provide delegates with an opportunity to network and laugh, showing why he is Canada’s most popular comic and top political satirist. He will deliver his keynote presentation during EMC’s Awards of Excellence networking dinner, being hosted in partnership with the City of Hamilton (Economic Development) and many of EMC’s community partners at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.
