Fort McMurray, AB — PEMAC, the Plant Engineering and Maintenance Association of Canada, has a new chapter of members in Fort McMurray, AB.

 

Chapter president Amin Elsherif, P.Eng, M.Sc., MMP, notes the group will be of interest to maintenance and reliability professionals and practitioners for staff development, education and certification, career networking and sharing of best practices applicable to operational excellence in physical asset management.

 

The first meeting of the new chapter takes place Feb. 2, 2010, at MacDonald Island Park, 151 MacDonald Dr. in Fort McMurray.

 

The agenda is as follows:

 

6:30 pm Cocktails (cash bar)

7:15 pm Opening and introductions Amin Esherif, chapter president.

7:25 pm PEMAC National report by Norm Clegg, executive director.

7:40 pm Shell Global Solutions presentation on Reliability Centered Maintenance.

8:00 pm SKF Canada presentation on Bad Actor Management by Raj Saini, reliability operations manager and event sponsor (there is no charge for this meeting because of SKF Canada’s sponsorship).

8:15 pm MainTrain Fort McMurray conference on September 22-23, 2010, will be discussed.

8:35 pm Networking.
