Montreal, QC — ExelTech Aerospace Inc., an aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider with operations in Montreal and Quebec City, recently appointed David B. Diggle as vice-president, marketing and sales.
“We are pleased to welcome David in our team. With his 35 years in the airlines and aerospace industry, David will play a key role in leading ExelTech growth strategy in the regional MRO industry,” said Sylvain Duval, president and chief executive officer of ExelTech.
Diggle’s responsibilities will include developing and implementing a marketing strategy that supports the company’s objectives and growth plan; managing the ExelTech brand; selling heavy, line and field maintenance services; negotiating sales contracts; developing and implementing advertising programs and managing participation in industry organizations, trade shows and other market-related events.
Prior to this appointment, Diggle was a consultant in market strategy and business development to the CAVOK Group based in Dallas, TX, advising on the establishment and execution of business strategies applicable to MRO within the aerospace industry. He has also held several positions at Air Canada Technical Services, including vice-president, marketing, sales and services, and vice-president, component maintenance.
The third-largest commercial airframe Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) vendor in Canada, ExelTech Aerospace services aircraft models that include the Embraer ERJ 145 family, E-Jet 170/190 family, and Bombardier CRJ regional jets; ATR-42 and 72, Bombardier Dash-8 and Saab 340 regional turboprops; and Boeing 737 narrow bodies. ExelTech is also a member of the SuperJet International Sukhoi MRO Service Centers Network.
In the summer of 2008, ExelTech opened a purpose-built 153,000 square feet state-of-the-art maintenance facility at Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport where the E-Jet is serviced. It also converted a former heavy maintenance facility into a dedicated line maintenance facility servicing domestic and international customers for Montreal’s Trudeau International Airport.
