Toronto, ON — Machinery & Equipment MRO magazine has received an Award of Excellence in APEX 2009, the 21st Annual Awards for Publication Excellence competition.
Sponsored by Communications Concepts, the international APEX Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence.
The submission by Ellie Robinson, art director, and Bill Roebuck, editor, for Machinery & Equipment MRO’s December 2008 issue was selected from among a total of almost 4,000 entries. The Award of Excellence is for the competition’s Magapapers & Newspapers category; Apex Awards are given in 11 different categories.
Machinery & Equipment MRO, a Toronto-based trade magazine established in 1985, is issued six times a year to a controlled circulation of 18,000 involved in the machinery & equipment and maintenance, repair & operations industries across Canada. With a pass-along average of 3.8 copies per issue, total readership is more than 68,000.
This is the fourth APEX award Machinery & Equipment MRO has received in as many years.
In addition, the magazine has received multiple Kenneth R. Wilson Gold, Silver, Top 5 and Top 10 awards and nominations since its inception, most recently in June 2009 with a Top Five award for a technical article, Troubleshooting Couplings, by contributor Lloyd (Tex) Leugner. The Wilson competition is organized by the Canadian Business Press.
