Burlington, ON — SKF Canada, Toronto, ON, reports that its Vogel brand of lubrication products will be sold in the future under the SKF corporate brand.
In 2004, the SKF Group acquired Willy Vogel AG, a supplier of lubrication technology. Since then, the products have regained the Vogel brand. However, as of July 1, 2009, all Vogel lubrication systems, engineered solutions and services will be offered under the SKF brand only, instead of being, as they are presently, dual-branded SKF VOGEL.
This strategy will result in direct access for customers to SKF’s complete range of products, solutions and services. It also will provide a highly efficient service level, from the initial consultation to the final delivery, says SKF Canada.
Over the course of more than a century in operation, SKF has grown into a knowledge engineering company with a unique profile. The three pillars of the current successful model are its global presence, the experience from working in more then 40 industry segments and its five technology platforms of Bearings and Units, Seals, Lubrication Systems, Mechatronics and Services.
The acquisition of Willy Vogel AG was strategically important to SKF’s objective of having a leading role in all its technology platforms, the company notes. It has enabled the Group to significantly strengthen its competitive position across several technology areas on the international market. Customers can now source standard lubrication systems, customized units and complete solutions integrating bearings, lubrication and sealing from the company.
