Mississauga, ON — Siemens Canada Ltd. has appointed Joris Myny as vice-president of its Industry Automation (IA) & Drive Technologies (DT) division.

He will be responsible for the portfolio management and marketing of all IA and DT offerings. In addition, he is responsible for contributing to the growth and profitability of the business.
Myny began his career with Siemens in 1990 with the Automation & Drives Group in Belgium and brings to Siemens Canada extensive international management experience, most recently as the vice-president, sales integration, Siemens Product Lifecycle Management Software Inc., headquartered in Plano, TX.
Prior to that assignment, he was the director, business development for Automation Systems covering Asia, Australia, Near and Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Previously, he worked for Siemens Canada from 1998-2004 as the manager of the Automation and Machine Tool business.

The company has 6,000 employees in Canada, working to develop and manufacture products, design and install complex systems and projects, and tailor a wide range of solutions for individual requirements.
