Chicago, IL — The Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) will hold its annual Executive Development Conference, March 9-10, 2008, at Flamingo Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nev.

Designed to prepare the next generation of leaders in the power transmission/motion control (PT/MC) for success, the conference will provide attendees the opportunity to improve their thinking and problem-solving skills, incorporate innovation in their negotiating abilities and build their network of peers.

Targeted at current mid-level district or regional managers, sales managers, product or vendor relations specialists and other up-and-comers, PTDAs 2008 Executive Development Conference offers attendees the chance to develop tools they will need as their authority and responsibilities increase.

Held in conjunction with PTDAs annual winter Board of Directors, Manufacturer Council and committee meetings, nearly 100 association members — current leaders in the PT/MC industry — will join conference attendees for the opportunity to expand contacts.

Cultivating leaders within my firm gives me a competitive advantage. I want to continually grow my top managers by arming them with strategies and tools to improve their performance, explains Doug Savage, president, Bearing Service Inc. A past attendee, Jerry Bruening, director, strategic sales, Loctite Industrial Group, Henkel Corporation, noted, I have been to many similar seminars and PTDAs Executive Development Conference was by far the best. The speakers held my attention, it was hands-on, never boring, and I was able to bring back valuable information I can implement tomorrow.

Developed by PTDA Membership Committee, highlights of the program include:

-Unleash Your Creative Leader, a high-energy, interactive and energizing workshop led by Dan Coleman, founder of Excelsior Learning, designed to strengthen negotiation, creative problem solving and communication skills.

– Informal networking at Thursday and Friday evening receptions and dinners.

– Conference workbook and handouts providing take-home value that can be immediately applied at the office.

PTDAs Executive Development Conference is open to PTDA member employees only. For more information and to register, visit www.ptda.org/ExecutiveDevelopmentConference or contact PTDA at 312-516-2100 or ptda@ptda.org.
