London, ON — The second annual Canadian Industrial Emergency Expo (CIE 2007) is scheduled to take place Sept. 19-20, 2007, in London, Ont.
Supporting organizations include the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs, Ontario Industrial Fire Protection Association (OIFPA), Alberta Industrial Fire Protection Association, Alberta Fire Chiefs Association, Canadian Chemical Producer’s Association and the Ontario Association of Emergency Managers.
About 100 companies will exhibit the latest products and services for the emergency response market. A conference includes 22 sessions covering the latest issues facing Canada’s emergency responders. As well, there will be live equipment and technical response demonstrations.
Also, the event will feature a training exercise put on by the London Fire Department HazMat team. The department is 472 qualified with a functioning team and decon unit available at all times and just recently completed a training exercise with CN and CP railroads and the Canadian Chemical Producers Association.
The event also incorporates th 12th Annual W. Beatty Golf Tournament, hosted by OIFPA, as well as the annual general meeting of the OIFPA.
CIE 2007 is attended by Industrial and Municipal emergency response professionals from across North America, such as firefighters, fire chiefs, EMT/paramedics, emergency response coordinators, training coordinators/officers, police officers, operations managers, emergency response and specialty teams, occupational health and safety advisors/managers and corporate security and loss prevention/control specialists.
