Lancaster, NY — Dow Corning has signed Sealing Devices Inc., a distributor and fabricator of industrial seals, gaskets and sealants, to be a technical distributor, specializing in sealant and adhesive products.

The agreement covers a broad range of Dow Corning silicone-based sealants, adhesives and cured-in-place and dispensed foam gasketing products used in a variety of industries. Sealing Devices will provide technical specifications and develop new business for Dow Corning in Ontario and the eastern United States.

The company, formed in 1963 and headquartered in Lancaster, N.Y., supplies O-rings, gaskets, EMI shielding seals, molded rubber parts, protective vents, and adhesives and sealants, and has six-axis robotic dispensing capabilities.

“Sealing Devices’ emphasis on quality is a good match with Dow Corning, a leader in quality silicone-based sealant and adhesive products,” said Tom Springstead, Dow Corning global strategic marketing. “Their strong presence in the markets we serve enables them to quickly assess client needs, match them with the right product and deliver it with short lead times.”

“By adding the full Dow Corning sealant and adhesive product lines to our current product offering, we can better meet the needs of our customers quickly and efficiently,” said Terry Galanis Jr., president of Sealing Devices.

Dow Corning has more than 7,000 products and services, and is equally owned by The Dow Chemical Company and Corning Inc. More than half of its $2.5 billion in annual sales are outside the United States.

Sealing Devices has direct sales professionals in Ontario.
