Mississauga, ON — Bahco’s series of Pull Saws, launched in January 2007, has been acknowledged with a Red Dot Design Award 2007, reports Bahco North America (Canada) Inc., Mississauga, Ont. Bahco’s parent company is a Swedish tool company established in 1886.
An international jury reviewed and evaluated the pull saws according to criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality and the formal quality, which made the pull saws a Red Dot Design Award winner.
The prize is given for good design in combination with user-friendliness, functionality, quality and safety.
“We are of course very proud and the prize confirms our ergonomic and design strategies, which involve consultation with customers and tool users and gives a membership of the best in design and business,” says Erik Conny Jansson, design manager at Bahco.
The design-protected Bahco Pull Saws for cutting wood have a traditional Japanese pull-saw action, which enables the blades to be extra thin for a perfectly controlled cut and less exerted force. The blades are replaceable so the saw can have sharp teeth at all occasions.
