Toronto, ON — Safety clothing supplier Cintas Corp., based in Cincinnati, Ohio, was recently ranked among the best employers in Canada by Report on Business Magazine. Cintas employs approximately 1,700 people at 17 locations throughout Canada, and 32,000 in North America. The recognition marks the companys third appearance on the magazines 50 Best Employers List since 2004.

To identify Canadas 50 best companies to work for, Report on Business commissioned Hewitt Associates to survey employees at leading businesses from across the country. More than 100,000 employees from 120 companies participated in the research. The study focused on employee engagement, the factors that influence an employees overall commitment to the organization. Cintas claimed the 19th spot on the list.

According to Neil Crawford, leader of Hewitt’s Best Employers in Canada study, “When we measure engagement, we’re not simply determining whether employees are happy or loyal. We’re gauging the emotional and intellectual commitment employees demonstrate for the organization for which they work. If employees feel a strong commitment, they’re likely to speak positively about their employer to others, stay with the organization, and do all they can to help it achieve its business goals.”

The Cintas culture attracts people who want to work for a company that embraces team values — a place where open communication creates a great work environment and career opportunities, said Cintas CEO Scott Farmer. This recognition is a testament to the values that make Cintas successful at all of our locations across North America.
