Glen Ellyn, IL — Attendees at the Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) 2007 Winter Meeting, held January 21-23, 2007, at the JW Marriott Houston in Houston, Texas, were unanimous in ranking the event as meeting or exceeding their expectations.
Post-meeting evaluations were equally enthusiastic about the meetings of BSA committees and a luncheon presentation to all attendees on the association’s Certified Bearing Specialist program and growing body of additional, industry-specific educational materials.
BSA extended a special invitation to the education and training contacts at all of its distributor member and participating manufacturer companies to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about the association’s various industry-specific educational options.
Attendee comments also noted the networking value of the annual event. As one commenter explained, “I always find value networking because I can’t see all these people during the year … I do wish more could participate.” Another added, “Always a good networking opportunity.”
Not surprisingly, BSA’s earlier Fall Meeting garnered the same level of enthusiasm from attendees, with all of those responding to the post-meeting survey saying the event also met or exceeded their expectations. BSA leaders say the strength of these fall and winter events is their compact schedule in a smaller, more intimate format than the association’s Annual Convention, planned this year for May 4-8 at the Marriott Marco Island Resort, Golf Club and Spa, Marco Island, Florida.
The bottom line for many attendees is richer networking and greater opportunity to help shape the direction of the association and the industry in the coming years. As a bonus, attendees spend less time away from business when they attend these meetings.
BSA is an international service and educational organization of distributors representing a total of almost 100 companies distributing factory-warranted ball-, roller-, and anti friction bearings and invited manufacturers of bearings and related products.
