Cleveland, OH — Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation has named Albert Esser vice-president – technology for its Fluid Power Group.
He will be responsible for driving functional excellence, developing advanced technologies and solutions and promoting global synergies within the Fluid Power Group.
Esser joined Eaton in 2006 as vic- president of its Innovation Center based in Milwaukee, Wis. He had most recently been with Emerson Electric, serving as the chief technology officer and vice-president for its Network Power Systems business group. Previously, he served as senior vice-president of corporate research with The Hilti Group, a manufacturer of construction and building maintenance products. Prior to that, he held various technology leadership positions with GE in its Medical Imaging Systems and Corporate Research and Development units.
Esser holds a doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Aachen in Germany. He is a certified Master Black Belt in Six Sigma for Design and Development, and holds 12 patents.
Eaton is produces electrical systems and components for power quality, distribution and control; fluid power systems and services for industrial, mobile and aircraft equipment; intelligent truck drivetrain systems for safety and fuel economy; and automotive engine air management systems, powertrain solutions and specialty controls for performance, fuel economy and safety. It has 60,000 employees and sells products to customers in more than 125 countries.
