Chicago, IL — The Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) will launch a new leadership event, the Executive Development Conference, March 1-2, 2007, at the Woodlands Conference Center & Resort, The Woodlands, Texas. Designed to prepare the next generation of leaders in the power transmission/motion control (PT/MC) for success, the conference will provide attendees the opportunity to improve their leadership skills, network with peers and learn from industry experts.
Targeted at current mid-level managers, regional managers, sales managers, vendor relations specialists and other up-and-comers, the Executive Development Conference will offer targeted leadership training and networking opportunities. Held in conjunction with PTDA’s annual winter Board of Directors, Manufacturer Council and committee meetings, nearly 100 association members — current leaders in the PT/MC industry — will join conference attendees for an opportunity to expand contacts.
Developed by PTDA Membership Committee, highlights of the program include:
– Workshop on developing a personal leadership advantage and building highly effective leadership skills, facilitated by independent power transmission distributor, Dave LaRue of Baldwin Supply
– Seminar and training session on adjusting leadership styles to fit various situations and using successful leadership models to increase productivity, with Peter Land, a certified management consultant.
– Informal networking at Thursday and Friday evening receptions and dinners, and an optional golf outing on Saturday morning.
