St. Louis, MO — Nearly 6 out of 10 electrical distributors grew their sales by more than 10% in the second quarter of 2006, according to the National Association of Electrical Distributors’ (NAED) most recent Quarterly Sales Change Expectation Survey (QSCE).
Of the distributors surveyed, 59.4% estimate that their sales for the quarter ended June 30 will show increases exceeding 10%. This is the most optimistic expectation for the “10% or more” sales increase category since NAED began the QSCE survey in 2003.
The positive trend extends widely as 87.6% of distributors expect sales growth for the April-June period. It is the fourth consecutive quarter that more than 85% of those surveyed have reported a rise in sales. Reports are available on NAED’s Website: http://www.naed.org.
