Toronto, ON — Machinery & Equipment MRO magazine has received an Award of Excellence in APEX 2006, the 18th Annual Awards for Publication Excellence Competition.
Sponsored by Communications Concepts, the international APEX Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the success of the entry in achieving overall communications effectiveness and excellence.
Entries in design categories were judged solely on the basis of their graphic design, and writing entries were evaluated primarily on the basis of editorial quality.
The submission by Bill Roebuck, Editor of Machinery & Equipment MRO, was selected from among a total of almost 5,000 entries. He received an Award of Excellence in the Magapapers & Newspapers category for the April 2005 issue of the magazine.
Machinery & Equipment MRO, a Toronto-based trade magazine established in 1985, is issued six times a year to a controlled circulation of 18,000 involved in the machinery & equipment and maintenance, repair & operations industries across Canada.
Apex Awards are given in 102 communications categories, in 11 major categories.
This is the second award Machinery & Equipment MRO has received this year. In June, the magazine received a Gold Kenneth R Wilson Award for Editorial Excellence in the Best Industrial/Manufacturing Article category. The award, sponsored by the Canadian Business Press, was presented to Bill Roebuck, Editor, and Carroll McCormick, freelance writer, for an article in the September 2005 issue.
