Toronto, ON — After receiving a Top 10 nomination in a prestigious competition for business journalism, Machinery & Equipment MRO has won a gold award (first place).

The award, in the Best Industrial/Manufacturing Article category, was for the article, ‘Curbing the Bad Actors’, by Montreal-based contributing editor Carroll McCormick.

The award was presented to Bill Roebuck, editor & associate publisher, at the Kenneth R. Wilson (KRW) Awards ceremony, held June 5, 2006, at the Old Mill in Toronto.

The awards are presented annually by the Canadian Business Press. Business and trade magazines submit their best work in 20 different categories. The entries are judged by a peer review panel, which determines the top 10 entries. These entries are then passed to the official judges to determine the winners. Over 750 entries were received in this year’s competition.
