Toronto, ON — The hazards of static discharge will be examined at a series of seminars by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Learning Centre this spring.
The objective of this training is to provide an understanding of how static charges are developed in industry, the requirements for static electricity to be a source of ignition and the proper control including bonding and grounding.
The information is especially relevant to maintenance workers, plant managers, engineers, firefighters, fire prevention officers, emergency response teams and chemical plant workers.
Three seminars will be held in Ontario in 2006: April 26 in Cambridge; May 24 in Brampton, and June 15 in Sarnia. The fee for the half-day seminar is $350 but an early bird special of $50 can be reduced from the regular price one month before the seminar date.
