Mississauga, ON — Effective January 27, 2006, Del-Tech Automation of Prince George, B.C., was acquired by Wainbee Limited, a distributor of fluid power and automation components and systems. As a result of this acquisition, Wainbee, which is headquartered in Mississauga, Ont., now has 16 locations coast-to-coast, servicing customers from Vancouver to Halifax.

“The purchase of Del-Tech Automation is an important step towards strengthening our presence in the British Columbia and Alberta industrial and forestry markets,” says Wainbee president Ron Rodger.

“Wainbee’s existing line-up of hydraulic, pneumatic, industrial tool, electrical motion and filtration products and services complement Del-Tech’s very well,” says Rodger. “Our goal is to continue to provide the high level of customer service and product expertise that Del-Tech’s customers have come to expect while adding additional products and services through Wainbee.”

Founded in 1957, Wainbee is a 100% Canadian, employee-owned company that has been located in Western Canada since the early 1970’s. Its Western Regional office is in Richmond, B.C., with additional Western offices in Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon and Winnipeg.
