Greenville, SC — Drives Incorporated, a U.S. chain manufacturer, has joined the membership of CoLinx LLC for e-business and logistics services. Drives Inc. will initially use CoLinx logistics services in Sparks, Nev., and Crossville, Tenn.

As well, a Drives Inc. on-line store is planned for launch by the end of 2005. The store will be part of the industrial on-line mall at, joining other brands, including Barden, Cooper, Dodge, Fafnir, FAG, INA, Master, MRC, Reliance Electric, Rockwell Automation, SKF, Timken and Torrington.

CoLinx manages and the PTbroker system-to-system connection, which pass through over 110,000 order lines, 20,000 order status inquiries and 460,000 price and availability checks per month for member manufacturers. CoLinx logistics services process over 250 million pounds of freight annually.

The company currently employs 470 associates managing 950,000 sq ft of space in six service centres across North America. Member services include freight bill audit and payment, assembly, packaging, kitting and labelling, returns processing, transportation management, cross-docking, export, FTZ operations, and consolidation of shipments to common distributor destinations.

Four Manufacturers founded CoLinx LLC in January 2001 (INA Holding Schaeffler KG, Rockwell Automation, The SKF Group and The Timken Company) to reduce costs associated with logistics and e-commerce excellence.
