Toronto, ON — The Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS), Canada’s leading trade event for industrial professionals, takes place at the National Trade Centre, Exhibition place in Toronto, Oct. 17-20, 2005. More than 11,000 qualified professionals attended the 2003 edition of the biennial trade event and as many are again expected.
CMTS, produced by Reed Exhibitions Canada of Toronto, combines five shows into one all-encompassing industrial event. The floor will be divided into distinct sections: the Canadian Machine Tool Show, the place to source machine tools, accessories and industrial supplies; the National Factory Automation Show, featuring hundreds of products and services for plant floor automation, integration and control systems; Metal Forming Equipment for a wide range of full-scale machine tools and supplies for cutting, shaping, punching and polishing metal; Tooling and Accessories showing the latest in cutting tool technology, work holding devices, supplies and services; and Measurement Technology & Quality, a section focusing on quality assurance and product reliability.

Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show was a new name for the event in 2003 (it was previously known as the Canadian Machine Tool Show and National Factory Automation Show.
The show is a place to source and evaluate the latest tools, equipment, technologies and solutions from more than 600 expected manufacturers and distributors who will be exhibiting.
“CMTS was the most positive atmosphere that I have seen in the metal manufacturing sector in recent years,” said Jim Burrows, president of the Canadian Machine Tool Distributors’ Association, commenting on the 2003 show.
