Calgary, AB — The Industrial Applications Division of Siemens Power Generation and Kadon Electro Mechanical Services Ltd. have signed a teaming agreement identifying Kadon as the authorized regional repair and warranty centre for Siemens industrial steam turbines, compressors, generators and pumps, supporting Siemens customers in Western Canada and the Northwestern United States.

“Kadon has been an integral component of the Siemens service initiatives in Western Canada, supporting our industrial fleet of rotating equipment. We are confident that Kadon will continue to provide the quality demanded by our customer base,” reported Chris Roden, director, Siemens Power Generation Industrial Applications. “This teaming agreement enhances Siemens’ ability to serve its customers as a global service provider with a strong local presence.”

“Siemens’ Industrial Applications Division has developed a North American service network strategy offering global capabilities and performance with a local focus. Siemens customers will benefit from faster turnaround on repair and warranty work and a reduction of shipping and travel costs for equipment, without sacrificing quality repair standards,” said Jim Mugford, president of Kadon.

“Kadon has been an authorized repair centre of Siemens and its subsidiaries for years, and we are pleased to continue building on this successful partnership.”

This partnership provides Siemens customers with one-stop service at Kadon’s 44,000-sq-ft shop in Calgary. Kadon has the capability to repair, refurbish, balance and test the Siemens turbomachinery fleet to approved specifications.
