Mississauga, ON — Four health and safety associations will be breaking ground as they dig into their new location on April 13, 2005. The event marks the beginning of a new occupational health and safety centre in Mississauga, Ont.
The Electrical and Utilities Safety Association (E&USA), Industrial Accident Prevention Association (IAPA), Ontario Service Safety Alliance (OSSA), and Transportation Health and Safety Association of Ontario (THSAO) jointly signed a lease in August 2004 for the new shared occupational health and safety centre.
Now, they are ready to officially break ground for the construction of this facility.
The centre, expected to be completed and ready for occupancy in Spring 2006, marks a milestone in that it will be the focal point for innovation and applied learning in the prevention and elimination of workplace injuries and illness.
