Mississauga, ON — Peacock Inc. has changed its name to Weir Canada Inc. In 1962 Peacock became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Weir, a U.K.-based organization. The name change brings together the resources of the Weir Group throughout the world.

Weir Canada is a business unit of Weir Services Division, a source of high performance engineered industrial, instrumentation and process control products, world class pumps and engineering and marine services.

Through four operating units — Weir Process Equipment, Weir Pumps Canada, Weir Engineering Services and Weir Marine Engineering — the company has 730 employees.

"Our customers will continue to receive the same quality service they’ve come to expect from Peacock,” said Bill Dub, president. “Our name change is simply a reflection of our broadening customer base and expansion of services, and is indicative of the company’s dedication to continued growth and global presence."
