Canadian Manufacturing Week The Source Behind Your Competitive Edge

“At Canadian Manufacturing Week, the exhibitors know that show attendees want to speak to knowledgeable personnel who can provide solutions to production and engineering challenges. Attendees are encouraged to come with their questions and problems, in order to get answers and solutions, directly from the experts,” says Robert Mathieu, group show manager, Reed Exhibitions.

Education is an important component of CMW. Sessions that will arm industry professionals with the information they need to bring their operations to the next level are being offered.

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. will present a seminar on the new UL CSA Mutual Component Acceptance. This seminar will outline the importance and benefits of working with a third party certification organization, the component acceptance agreement between UL and CSA and what it means to end product/component manufacturers, and the explanation of the expansion of the Memorandum of Understanding and how it affects businesses.

The Plant Engineering & Maintenance Association of Canada (PEMAC) will present a session to explain how World Class Asset Management principles will improve and sustain our competitive advantage. Participants will learn about lean asset management tools, asset and process reliability and performance indicators.

As well, the Canadian Welding Association will host a welding symposium of four one-hour sessions at Weld Expo Canada. Each session will present information on welding technology and techniques that are useful to welding professionals and amateurs alike.
