Welland, ON — Winfried Witte, 62, president of Bosch Rexroth AG, will retire on April 30, 2004, to be replaced by Manfred Grundke of Bosch Rexroth Canada Corp. of Welland, Ont.

Witte took over in 1996 as chairman of the board of management of Mannesmann Rexroth GmbH, and was appointed president of Mannesmann Rexroth AG in 1997. Since May 2001, he has been president of the newly-founded Bosch Rexroth AG.

As of May 1, 2004, Grundke, 48, will be his successor. He currently is executive vice-president for sales automation as well as chairman of the board of Bosch Rexroth Canada Corp.

Grundke has been a member of the board of Bosch Rexroth AG since 2001. A mechanical engineer, he joined Mannesmann Rexroth GmbH in 1984. From 1997 to 1998 he was chairman of the board of management of the Rexroth Hydraulics Business Unit of Mannesmann Rexroth AG, and a member of the executive board of Mannesmann Rexroth AG from 1998.
