Cleveland, OH — Eaton Corp. has renamed its Industrial and Commercial Controls business to Eaton Electrical. The Eaton organizational unit formerly known as the Cutler-Hammer Group also will be named Eaton Electrical.
Through its integration of the electrical division of Delta plc, which Eaton acquired in January 2003, the business has increased its ability to service the growing needs of its multinational customers. Today, Eaton Electrical is a global business with manufacturing and sales operations in North America, Latin America, Western Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
“The Eaton Electrical name allows us to emphasize the company’s solid reputation on a global scale, reinforcing our rich history and leading position in the electrical business,” said Randy Carson, Eaton senior vice-president and group executive for Eaton Electrical.
“Our product brands Cutler-Hammer, Heinemann, MEM, Holec and others will be able to grow under the Eaton Electrical group umbrella. We recognize the strong awareness of these brands and will continue using them in our products, marketing and sales efforts.”
Eaton Electrical offers electrical distribution and control products, solutions and services that meet global standards such as those of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the National Electrical Manufacturing Association (NEMA).
