Ottawa, ON — Data on electric power generating stations operating in Canada are now available for 2002 from Statistics Canada.
The new survey provides a list of generating stations in Canada and includes the name, ownership, year of installation, capacity (in kilowatts), type of fuel or water supply, and source (hydro, steam, internal combustion, combustion turbine, nuclear, wind and tidal).
The annual universe survey consists of utilities and companies that have at least one plant with a total generating capacity of over 500 kW, excluding auxiliary units.
