Chicago, IL — The Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) has added five new distributors, six new manufacturers and six educational institution partners to its membership roster. The list includes three Canadian organizations.
The new distributors who joined the association during the second quarter of 2003 include Avery Bearing and Industrial Drives Ltd., Brampton, Ont., Brehob Corp., Indianapolis, Ind., La Llave S.A. De Comercio, Guayaquil, Ecuador, Matlock Electric Co. Inc., Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mitchell Iron & Supply Co. Inc., Mitchell, S.D.
Also in the second quarter, the association welcomed six new manufacturer members, including Can-Ross Environmental Services Ltd., Oakville, Ont., Beemer Precision, Inc., Fort Washington, Pa., Centa Cor., Westmont, Ill., Oil-Rite Corp., Manitowoc, Wis., R.P.S. Engineering Inc., Elgin, Ill., and Slideways, Inc., Shrewsbury, Mass.
In 2003, PTDA added a category of Associate Membership for its educational institution partners. Educational institution members currently include Kwantlen University College, Surrey, B.C., Henry Ford Community College, Novi, Mich., Metropolitan Community College, Omaha, Neb., Richland Community College, Decatur, Ill., University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, Ala., and University of Nebraska at Kearney, Kearney, Neb.
Founded in 1960, PTDA is an U.S.-based trade association representing over 220 power transmission/motion control (PT/MC) distributor firms with almost 3,000 locations throughout North America and 13 other countries, as well as over 180 manufacturers that supply the PT/MC industry.
