Toronto, ON — March 28, 2003 – Rick Thomas, president of NTN Bearing Corporation of Canada and executive vice-president of U.S. Aftermarket Sales, has been appointed president and chief operating officer of NTN Bearing Corporation of America, effective April 1, 2003. He replaces Hirotsugu Mori, who will return to Japan for another assignment with NTN.

During his time at the Canadian division of NTN, Thomas was directly responsible for the development, management and operation of the company. In his new position, he will place a strong focus on business development and strategic planning, guiding the company’s growth strategy and market positioning.

Thomas will remain as a director of NTN Bearing Corporation of Canada.

As a result of these appointments, Fred Hagino has been promoted to president of NTN Bearing Corporation of Canada, effective April 1, 2003, replacing Thomas. Hagino was most recently executive vice-president of finance and operations, where he was responsible for all financial activities, systems development and operations.

In his new position, Hagino will oversee the strategic development and direction of the unit.

NTN Bearing Corporation manufactures bearings, constant velocity joints and other precision industrial equipment and maintains production facilities in Germany, Taiwan, Australia, Japan, France, Canada and the United States.
