Toronto, ON — Mar. 26, 2003 — The eighth annual EFC Foundation Scholarship Program — a program dedicated to supporting the future of the electrical, electronics and telecommunication industries in Canada — has been launched by Electro-Federation Canada in partnership with the Alberta Electrical League, Canadian Electronic & Appliance Service Association, BC Electrical Association, Manitoba Electrical League, Ontario Electrical League and EFC’s Atlantic & Quebec Regions.

The EFC Foundation Scholarship Program was established in an effort to develop the industry and promote post-secondary education in the electrical, electronics and telecommunications fields.

Now in its eighth year, the EFC Foundation will award 30 scholarships worth over $50,000 to eligible students in the fields of engineering, computer science and business administration, as well as to eligible second- or third-phase electrical apprentices.
