Gotenberg, Sweden — Feb. 25, 2003 — Tom Johnstone, 47, will become president and chief executive officer of SKF AB in April 2003. He will replace the retiring Sune Carlsson, 62, who has held the posts for the past five years.

Johnstone, a Scot, is currently executive vice-president of SKF and president of its automotive division. He joined SKF a quarter century ago as a salesman for SKF in the United Kingdom.

Christer Gyborg, president of SKF’s industrial division, will replace Johnstone as executive vice-president.
