Brampton, ON — Feb. 17, 2003 — Craft Bearing Company of Newport News, Virginia, has entered the Canadian market with its split roller bearing line with the appointment of Advantage Sales Network of Brampton, Ont., as its sales representative for Canada.
Jeffrey J. Pennetti, Craft’s vice-president of marketing and sales, reports that the company manufactures split cylindrical roller bearings from 1-7/16 in. to 32 in. bore size. The bearings are available in three series — S1 medium duty, S2 heavy duty and S3 extra heavy duty.
A full range of metric sizes also is available, as are custom bearings and models for special applications. Craft recently added a stainless steel series to its line for use in harsh environments. Craft split bearings are Lloyds Register Type approved for marine applications and are directly interchangeable with foreign bearings.
The company offers same day shipment on 1-7/16 to 12 in. split bearings, as well as on metric sizes from 40 to 300 mm.
“The product line has a successful track record in pulp and paper, steel, marine, mining, cement, waste and water, power generation and many other industries,” says Pennetti. “The reality of not removing shafts or drive components to replace bearings is helping companies save time and money.”
Craft recently moved into a new corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility. Details on the product line are available at www.craftbearing.com, by calling the plant at 757-247-6000, or from Advantage Sales at 905-455-6969.
