President of Schneider Electric Canada returns to the U.S.

Toronto, ON — Jan. 3, 2003 — Following organizational changes to Schneider Electric USA, Chris Curtis, president of Schneider Electric in Canada, will return to the Schneider Electric North America headquarters in Palatine, IL.
“It is with much regret that I leave Canada”, said Curtis. “It has been a pleasure working with our Canadian management team and channel partners to strengthen our market position.”
Curtis assumed his new responsibilities as vice-president, sales and services for Schneider Electric USA on Jan. 6, 2003. He reports to the newly appointed president and chief operating officer, Dave Petratis.
A replacement for Curtis has yet to be announced. Chris Richardson, president and CEO of Schneider Electric North America, said: “Chris Curtis and his team have done an outstanding job. To ensure we maintain our positive momentum, I am committed to finding the best candidate possible to replace Chris as quickly as I can.”
Schneider Electric is a power and control specialist, with international brands such as Federal Pioneer, Merlin Gerin, Modicon, Square D and Telemecanique.
