Cambridge, ON — Nov. 4, 2002 — A maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) services program is being made available to Canadian manufacturers for the first time by Rockwell Automation of Cambridge, Ont.

The company’s Asset Management Program (RAAMP) can be used to improve equipment availability and reduce inventory expenses by as much as 25 per cent, while streamlining maintenance operations. “There is a direct correlation between raising productivity and efficiency of manufacturing operations and improved MRO operations,” said Steve Stall, business manager, plant services.

The program has been available in the United States since 1996, where it has helped customers reduce maintenance expenses from 10-25 per cent in a 12-month period.

Under the Canadian program, all remanufacture and repair of third party (non-Rockwell) equipment, including AC drives, controllers, displays, printed circuit boards and power supplies, would be completed by Canadian-based repair centres.
