Glen Ellyn, IL — Sept. 19, 2002 — The board of directors and leadership committees of the Bearing Specialists Association will host fall meetings at October 28-29, 2002, at the Doubletree Hotel O’Hare Rosemont, and winter meetings February 3-4, 2003, at Saddlebrook Resort, Wesley Chapel, Florida.

The association’s next annual convention is scheduled for April 26-28, 2003, at the Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel & Spa, Pasadena, Calif.

Earlier this year at its 2002 annual convention, the BSA elected the following slate of officers to lead the Association in 2002-2003:

President — Peter Fitzpatrick, Bearings Specialty Company, Canton, Mass.; First Vice-President — Jeff Ramras, Applied Industrial Technologies, Cleveland, Oh.; Second Vice-President — Craig Gipson, Gipson Bearing & Supply Co., Inc., West Homestead, Penn.; Secretary/Treasurer — Doug Savage, Bearing Service Inc., Livonia, Mich.; and Chairman of the Board — Scott MacPherson, U.S. Bearings and Drives, Portland, Ore.

The association also elected two directors to serve three-year terms. They are: Bill DuComb, W.C. DuComb Company, Inc., Detroit, Mich.; and Eduardo Bichara, Baleromix, S.A. de C.V., Mexico City, Mexico. The following BSA members will be continuing as directors: Nick Nicholson, Bearings & Drives, Macon, Ga.; Tom Miller, Motion Industries, Birmingham, Ala.; Cameron Lawrence, BDI Canada, Mississauga, Ont.; and John Timble, Bearing Headquarters Company, Broadview, Ill.

The elections were held at the association’s annual convention, April 13-16, 2002, at The Breakers Resort, Palm Beach, Fla.
