PTDA names new directors at annual convention in California

Palm Desert, Calif. — Sept. 18, 2002 — The Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) elected its officers, board of directors and Allied Council for 2003 at the association’s annual convention in Palm Desert, Calif., on Sept. 14.

Carlos Ingram, vice-president business systems and logistics of Kaman Industrial Technologies Corporation, Windsor, Conn., has been elected to succeed Patrick Frater of Northwest Power Products, Inc. as PTDA’s president in the coming year. Ingram, the association’s first vice-president in 2002, has served on the board for the past five years. He also has served as past chair of the business process committee.

Don Latham, vice-president for Canadian Bearings Ltd., Mississauga, Ont., becomes PTDA’s first vice-president for 2003. In 1999, he became a member of the board and served as the board liaison to the marketing committee. He also has served on the association’s convention and marketing committees.

Jack Neal, vice-president of marketing for Root Neal & Company, Buffalo, N.Y., will be PTDA’s second vice-president in 2003. A PTDA board member for the past three years, Neal has been active in the association since 1992, serving on the association’s industry relations committee.


Andy Nations, president of Bearings & Drives Inc., Macon, Ga., will continue as PTDA’s treasurer in 2003. Since 1998, he has served two terms on the PTDA board and as its liaison to PTDA’s technical education committee.

Barb Ross, senior marketing and corporate account manager for Garlock Sealing Technologies, Palmyra, N.Y., assumes the duties of PTDA’s allied chair for 2003, replacing Tim Murphy of The Gates Rubber Co. Ross was vice-chair in 2002 and has been a member of PTDA’s Allied Council for two years. In 2001, she served as PTDA’s convention chair, prior to which she served on the association’s industry relations committee.
Jim Lamb, vice-president marketing and sales for Drives, Inc., Fulton, Ill., becomes allied vice-chair for 2003. Lamb has served on the Allied Council since 2001 and previously served on the association’s industry relations committee.

The remaining delegates serving on PTDA’s board of directors in 2003 include: Dennis Narduzzi, vice-resident and general manager, Power Industries, Inc., Santa Rosa, Calif.; Stephen Philpott, president, Bearing Belt Chain Co Inc., Las Vegas, Nev.; Jeffrey Pickelman, president, Northern Industrial Supply Inc., Saginaw, Mich.; R.P. Racine, CEO, Gopher Bearing Co. Inc., Saint Paul, Minn.; Fernando Rojas, president, Rodamientos Rovi C.A., Caracas, Venezuela; and Helen Yost, general manager, The Rowland Co., Philadelphia, Pa.

Additional PTDA Allied Council members for 2003 include: Bill Demmel, director sales, Martin Sprocket & Gear Inc., Arlington, Texas; James Humphrey, president, Diamond Chain. Co., Indianapolis, Ind.; Jim Little, vice-president aftermarket sales, NTN Bearing Corp. of America, Mount Prospect, Ill., Dale Skoch, vice-president and general manager, industrial solutions – motors, Emerson Motor Company/Industrial Solutions Division, Saint Louis, Mo.; John Stewart, president, Duff-Norton, Charlotte, N.C., and Rick White, executive vice-president, Flexible Steel Lacing Co., Downers Grove, Ill.
