CME, CIDE conferences in Vancouver focus on exporting

Vancouver, BC — July 29, 2002 — International Development Days 2002, to be held in Vancouver, B.C., at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver from October 2-4, 2002, are part of an event of the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
Visitors to International Development Days can find out what’s new in Canada’s international development program and how companies can participate and benefit. Private meetings with CIDA and IFI officials will be available for discussions about specific opportunities.
CIDA’s minister for international cooperation, Honourable Susan Whelan, will be present. Speakers include Len Good, president of CIDA, CIDA’s senior management team and senior representatives from private companies, non-governmental organizations, academic institutions and international financial institutions.

The CIDA event precedes the CME’s annual conference, which has the theme: Accelerating as Manufacturers & Exporters. It takes place Oct. 6-8, 2002, at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver.
The CME event offers parallel programs on issues of importance to exporters and manufacturers to help them accelerate and achieve a new level of success.
