Toronto, ON — July 22, 2002 — Two new feature sections have been added to Canadian Manufacturing Week. CMW is a comprehensive trade event connecting decision-makers with a wide range of solutions to move their operations to the next level of competitiveness.
The three-day event, which takes place Sept. 24-26, 2002, at Toronto’s International Centre, consists of three co-located shows: Canadian Plant Maintenance & Engineering, Canadian Design Engineering, and Canadian Facility Management & Operations.
“The new feature sections: CAN-MAT Canadian Materials Handling & Warehouse Equipment and ITS Industry IT & Software, will be located at the Hall 3 entrance to the show floor, providing prominent awareness to industry buyers,” said assistant show manager, Shelley Sougaris.
CAN-MAT is a new exhibition section that features the latest equipment for materials handling, warehousing and product distribution. Some of the major exhibits on display will include conveying equipment, automated storage systems, overhead & positioning equipment, automatic identification products, weighing and counting equipment, loading docks and powered industrial trucks.
ITS is the first feature section dedicated to IT and software solutions for industry at a major manufacturing event in Canada. Leading technology, products and services on display will include B2B technology & systems, procurement management, networking solutions, inventory control, ERP, CRM, bar coding systems, e-business solutions, preventive and predictive maintenance, benchmarking and supply chain management solutions.
CMW is more than an opportunity for buyers to source suppliers and services. “The event features a comprehensive educational program that adds value to the show experience,” said Sougaris. “Attendees can pre-register for seminars presented by leading industry professionals on topics such as Lean Production, Lean Logistics and Hydraulic and Pneumatic Troubleshooting. Participants will learn how to reduce costs, improve quality, reduce lead times and make their processes and organizations more efficient.”
In addition to these workshops, attendees can also attend free Exhibitor Seminars and Technical Information & Product Sessions (T.I.P.S.) that will be presented on the show floor; and Exhibitor Presentations that will be held in a separate classroom. A full educational program schedule and registration information is available on the show website www.cmwshow.ca.
Canadian Manufacturing Week 2002 is sponsored by the Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA), Canadian Association of Supply Chain & Logistics Management, and the Canadian Fluid Power Association (CFPA).
