Toronto, ON — Apr. 29, 2002 — Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), the licensing body for professional engineers in the province, has chosen the president of an Ontario civil engineering firm as its president for the coming year.

Richard W. Braddock, P.Eng., was installed at PEO’s annual general meeting at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel on April 20, 2002. He succeeds G. Gordon M. Sterling, P.Eng.

He says he will guide the PEO Council in issues relating to the issuing of limited licences to technologists and the compiling of a professional profile of PEO’s membership, to obtain an overall, objective picture of their areas of practice, job responsibilities and professional development activities.

Braddock is president of Mitchell, Pound & Braddock Ltd.
