Fredericton, NB — Apr. 16, 2002 — The Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) have organized the International Development Days 2002, to be held in Fredericton, N.B. at the Sheraton Fredericton Hotel from May 1 – 3, 2002. The conference sessions will focus on successes and opportunities for Atlantic Canadian businesses.
IDD is structured to appeal to a full range of Canadian interest groups from both the private and public sectors. Those who attend will be able to find out what’s new in Canada’s international development program and how companies can participate. Private meetings with CIDA and officials from international financial institutions will be available.
The event has a strong Atlantic Canada focus and appeal. It begins with a gala dinner as part of New Brunswick Manufacturers’ Day, and will feature the presentation of the NB Export Achievement Awards.
The Hon. Bernard Lord, premier of New Brunswick, will deliver the keynote address.
IDD 2002 will be of interest to those concerned with international cooperation. Similar events have been held in St John’s in 2000 and in Halifax in 1998. IDD 2001 was held in Winnipeg.
