Metalforming industry show attracts 9,000

Chicago, IL — Mar. 27, 2002 — Metalform ’02, sponsored by the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), concluded on March 7 at Chicago’s McCormick Place South with a total participation of over 9,000 attendees and more than 3,000 exhibitors.
Comments from exhibitors were positive. Robert Braswell, vice-president of marketing, Link Systems, Nashville, TN, commented, "I have had more quality leads at Metalform ’02 than at any show in the last three years." Other exhibitors expressed pleasure with the audience’s buying power and decision-making quality.
Metalform ’03 returns to Chicago’s Donald E. Stephens Convention Center (formerly known as Rosemont) March 23-26, 2003. The show will return to its traditional vertical format and will feature the leading stamping and fabricating innovations for which Metalform is known.
The 2003 exposition will showcase stamping, tool and die, fabricating, metal spinning, roll forming, slide forming and other related manufacturing applications.
PMA is a trade association representing the $41-billion metalforming industry of North America — the industry that creates precision metal products using stamping, fabricating and other value-added processes. Its 1,400 member companies include metal stampers, fabricators, spinners, slide formers and roll formers as well as suppliers of equipment, materials and services to the industry. Members are located in 30 countries, including Canada.
