Canton, OH — March 14, 2002 — The Timken Company plans to purchase an industrial equipment repair facility that specializes in the repair and rebuild of chocks, chock overlays, rolls and roll overlays, and other processing components commonly found in heavy industrial mill applications.

The 60,000 sq ft facility, owned by Glunt Industries, Inc., is located in Niles, Ohio and employs 49. It will become Timken Industrial Services, LLC, part of Timken’s Industrial Services group.

Headquartered in Warren, Ohio, the family-owned and operated Glunt Industries has manufactured and rebuilt steel and aluminum mill equipment for customers throughout North and South America since 1971.

“Adding this capability will help to fuel sales growth while further reinforcing Industrial Services’ position as an industry provider of value- added services,” said Mike Arnold, president, Industrial. “This acquisition is key to our transformation progress as we engage in more strategic activities with our customers.”
