LaSalle, QC — March 11, 2002 — The Albion, Ontario Rubber and Anchor Packing divisions of Robco will be merged into a single corporate entity, Robco Inc., on May 1, 2002.

J. Barry MacDonald, president and CEO, says that customers will in fact be dealing with the same people and products as before.

Established in 1911, Robco has grown from a distributor of mechanical pump packing and other industrial maintenance products to become a company with a broad and diversified product line grouped into engineered elastomers, heat-resistant textiles, industrial greases and lubricants, engineered plastics and a full range of fluid sealing products for the process industries.

Robco also is active worldwide markets, including North and South America, the European Economic Community and the Pacific Rim.

The company has been marketing products under a number of divisions and trademarks, including Albion, Robco, Anchor Packing, Exact-a-Seal, Ontario Rubber, Thermofab and Robco Imex.

The company focuses on the pulp and paper industry, steel and non-ferrous metal processing, mining, oil and gas, railroads, off-road vehicles, mass transit and marine equipment and pump and valve manufacturers.

The head Office and a new manufacturing and distribution facility are located in Montreal, Que., and there is a similar-sized facility in Toronto, Ont., with sales offices and branch warehouses in several locations across Canada.
