Toronto, ON — Jan. 28, 2002 — Schneider Electric, Albercorp, Cummins Onan, EFI, and Stulz have joined MGE UPS Systems to provide one-stop integration for critical electric power, environmental control and monitoring systems.
The partnership, called the Facility Solutions Alliance (FSA), was formed to support mission-critical networks and facility operations with power, environmental control and monitoring systems. FSA is the first of its kind to offer an integrated solution for today’s mission-critical data, voice and video communications operations.
“The supply of uninterrupted, high quality power to technology businesses has become more and more of an issue in Canada", said Lyle Moroz, Canadian vice-president, marketing, Schneider Electric.
"This need is being driven by the combination of steady growth in the technology sector, despite the recent slowdown, and the concerns generated by the move towards deregulation of electrical energy supply and generation.
Schneider’s brands include Federal Pioneer, Merlin Gerin, Modicon, Square D and Telemecanique. The company has five manufacturing and 17 service facilities, and 30 sales offices in Canada.
“We believe that this Alliance will provide true value to our customers by ensuring a truly integrated system that will amply defend against any number of electrical disturbances that can cause problems for high-technology companies,” said Moroz.
"Customers ideally want to deal with one reliable source for all their power, control and monitoring systems", added David Derambakhsh, MGE’s director for the FSA project. "The FSA represents the industry’s foremost suppliers of superior power management, monitoring and control systems under one umbrella."
