Canton, OH — Jan. 17, 2002 — A reorganization at The Timken Company will affect its aerospace and super precision businesses, according to Donna Demerling, president – Aerospace and Super Precision.
“Consistent with the transformation of The Timken Company to a global enterprise, the realignment of Timken Aerospace and Super Precision reflects a more global approach to manufacturing, sourcing, engineering, and sales and marketing,” Ms. Demerling said.
The new structure establishes four integrated global businesses, which will enable more rapid response to new business opportunities worldwide and strengthen the interactions with customers. The four global organizations are: Aerospace OE, Aerospace MRO, Dental and Super Precision.
Aerospace MRO will provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for aircraft bearings and related components and supply FAA-approved parts to the aerospace aftermarket. Super Precision will provide miniature bearings and precision assemblies, to a broad range of industries, including robotics, medical equipment and semiconductor manufacturing.
